The Audi RS8 isn't due to be released to the public until 2009, but it has already created a buzz among car enthusiasts. This sleek V10 powered machine is said to sport a 500hp engine which could give just about any Porsche a run for its money. It accelerates from 0-60 in under 4.4 seconds and comes standard with oxygen silver sideblades to enhance its appearance and torque. Recently, Audi aired a Super Bowl ad inspired by the famous godfather scene depicting , Alex Rocco, who played the part of Moe Greene, in the original godfather film, waking up to spilled oil in his bed instead of blood. The R8 starts at $109,000.00, I can only imagine how much the sport version will go for. For a car of its size it is extremely wide and its frame sits low to the ground which lays the groundwork its impressive handling and traction.

So when I was in Boston this past fall watching the Head of the Charles, Audi had a vendor set up along the river. To my astonishment was the Audi R8, it was absolutely gorgeous and I instantly fell in love. I am a huge Audi enthusiast and currently own and Audi A4. I made it my personal goal to have this car within 10 years and when I saw the commercial on Superbowl Sunday it only increased my drive. This car will dominate its competition and I can't wait to have one.
i agree with kyle, the audi R8 is one heck of a car. its absolutely beautifull. Audi has had a reputation for trying to come up with good sports cars but have failed miserably. Finaly they have got it right. For car that competes with the ferrari f430 and the gallardo, its price is astonishing. It comes at about $120,000. I saw one of these babies on the Heathrow airport in london, while transiting. It a wondefull car. I can't wait to have one.
Wow! I just got back from Miami and there were two of these parked outside of the hotel dubbed Royal in different colors. Had to stop and take a picture. Its on my Xmas list.
I absolutely love this car. I just crashed my A6, so maybe I'll upgrade to the RS8...HAHA I wish. And I was so pumped when I saw it appear on my favorite show Dirt, on FX this season. It's absolutely fitting.
This is a really cool looking car. I'm definitely a fan, but I'm more of a BMW guy so I'd like to see it in comparison to something of similar caliber before I go all in. Nothing beats German engineering thats for sure. As for the super bowl ad, I really liked the way it was done, even though many of the people I was sitting with didn't understand the reference.I wonder how it affected sales? I would bet it did help a lot, but with the base model selling for 109,000 I'm not sure how many people watching could actually afford something like that. As for kyle owning this car in 10 years, I say good luck to you. It's going to be tough even though it will probably go down in value.
